Panaji: With hardly few months left for the Lok Sabha elections 2019, the Congress party in Goa is yet to built up its organization.
Eight months after appointment of Girish Chodankar as party chief, the Pradesh Congress committee ( PCC) is yet to be constituted.
As per the information available from the reliable sources failure to constitute block level committes in ten constituencies including Shiroda and Mandrem, and also non constitution of North Goa district committee has left PCC without any members.
Chodankar is the only member of PCC which has not met since April 2018.
“It is very unfortunate that the party, which won single largest majority in the State Assembly is without proper organization. Only number of spokespersons are appointed and nothing beyond that,” a senior Congress leader reacted.
” This is how we are going to contest Lok Sabha elections? No one is serious towards building the organization not even the president,” he added.
