Panaji: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Amit Patkar on Tuesday said that the discussion on an alliance with like-minded parties for the upcoming Zilla Panchayat election is in the final stages.
Patkar told GNH that the Congress party will go by what the people of the state want.
He said that the discussion for an alliance with like-minded parties such as the Goa Forward Party and the Revolutionary Goans Party is in the final stages.
The leaders of the Congress, GFP, and RGP had demonstrated their unity during the birthday celebration of Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao.
Patkar said that the Congress party will announce its list of ZP candidates in the next two days.
