Panaji: Judicial Magistrate First Class at Mapusa Shantashri Sinai Kudchadkar has summoned leaders of Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee (GPMCC) and para-teacher over their agitation held in November last year.
Several para teachers accompanied by GPMCC leaders had blocked the entry of Secretariat at Porvorim in November last year demanding regularization of their services.
The scuffle between the police and protestors had left GPMCC Chief Pratima Coutinho injured.
The JMFC has now issued summons to six people after Porvorim police chargesheeted them. The summons are issued to Goa chief of Mahila Congress Pratima Coutinho, then General Secretary of GPMCC Aishwarya Salgaoncar, another leader Savitri Kavlekar and para teachers including Smita Desai, Reshma Prabhu and Trupti Tilve.
Savitri is a wife of Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Kavlekar.
All the accused had been asked to remain present before the Court on July 03, 2018.
They have been charged under section 143, 147, 341, 332, 323 read with 149 of Indian Penal Code.
