Panaji: Mamata Maben resigned as South Goa Mahila Congress District President and has officially joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the presence of party president Valmiki Naik and Sr. Vice President Sandesh Teleikar Dessai at a joining ceremony in Panaji.
I was not involved in the decisions made by Congress in my own constituency of Ponda, so what is the use of working in Congress as South Goa Mahila President? If there is no democracy within the party, how will Congress ensure democracy for all Goans, said Mamata Maben.
Welcoming her into the party fold, AAP leaders stated that Maben’s experience and grassroots connect would strengthen the party’s outreach in South Goa.
