Panaji: Congress party in Goa today celebrated party’s victory in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh stating that the results will have far reaching impact on Goa’s politics.
In a press statement issued, Congress President Girish Chodankar said that the result will have far reaching impact on Goa’s politics and its lesson to BJP allies specially Goa Forward leaders who had criticized Rahul Gandhi’s leadership in Goa Assembly and outside time and again.
“The impact will be seen in both by-elections. Goa fiasco of overturning people’s mandate and non governance for last nine month has also contributed to BJP’s defeat in five states,” he said.
Chodankar said that results are reflection of people’s frustration with Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and his divisive politics and his efforts to destroy democratic institutions.
“People have punctured the artificial balloon of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and BJP in all the five states. People have said enough to lies of BJP & it’s leaders. They have voted for multi-cultural India which stands for liberal, democratic and secular values. People want to preserve the idea of inclusive India,” he said.
“People have set a new direction for the Indian political system and upcoming 2019 elections”.
He said that BJP leadership should learn lessons from the results not to take people for granted and misuse & abuse of power
Party has credit its victory to Rahul Gandhi’s strategy of dislodging BJP from power and his tireless single handed campaign against BJP and its corruption.
