Panaji: Congress party in Goa has criticized Union AYUSH minister Shripad Naik for his claims on recovery of British Royal Family member Prince Charles from Corona after taking Ayurvedic treatment.

Chodankar said that the statement is  a reflection of BJP’s agenda of falsehood and Jumla politics.

Earlier last week, Naik had quoted an Ayurveda practitioner based in Bangaluru to claim that Prince Charles was cured of COVID-19  infection with a medicine which is mix of Ayurveda and Homeopathy.

The claim was rejected by the office of Prince Charles.

“The office of Prince Charles has rubbished and outrightly rejected the claims of Naik . This incident has once again exposed the dirty tricks of PM Narendra Modi and BJP Government to fool the people of the country by floating such ideas which have no scientific basis,” Chodankar said. “The incident has put Goa to a shame because of irresponsible behaviour of North Goa MP who tried to toe the line of the Prime Minister,” he added.

Chodankar said that the Prime Minister is trying to fool the people with his gimmicks like “Taali Bajao Thaali Bajao” and “Diya Jalao” and is converting this serious challenge of Corona Virus into an event to take cheap political mileage.

“PM has conveniently diverted the focus of collapse of economy in India towards Corona virus,” he said.

Chodankar said “Unfortunately the Government has completely failed to plan a proper disaster management plan and provide safety and security to people as well as health care workers.”

“Today, when PM modi is busy in organising events, thousands of health workers are on the frontline fighting the Corona Virus risking their own lives due to non availability of safety gears,” he said.
