Panaji: With the Congress in Goa violating the flag code on the occasion of the Republic Day, Chief minister Pramod Sawant said that the Congress party has yet again proved that they believe in Gandhi family first, party second and nation at the last.
BJP Goa ‘X’ handle on Friday had tweeted a picture of National Tri colour flag being unfurled below the party flat outside the party’s Goa headquarter.
BJP Goa wrote “@INCIndia has been insulting our nation, time and again, be it rejecting Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha or now in Goa by flying INC flag above our National flag. Shame on this anti national party!!”
On Saturday, the chief minister wrote on ‘X’ “The @INCIndia yet again proved that they believe in Gandhi Family First, Party second and Nation at the Last.”
When contacted, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Amit Patkar was not available for the comments while party’s Goa spokesman Amarnath Panjikar said that the party will react later during the day.
