Panaji: Congress party in Goa on Saturday said that they will file a complaint with the Economic Offences Cell (EOC) against various parties including organisers of “DJ Black Coffee” event which was cancelled on Friday.

Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Amit Patkar told a press conference that Goa leg of DJ Black Coffee’s India Tour was organised without taking any permissions.

Patkar said that the tickets were sold by the online platforms without the local authorities giving permission for hosting the event.

The DJ Black Coffee event at Anjuna in North Goa was cancelled on Friday, after the local Anjuna Communidade revoked NOC granted to them to host the event.

Patkar told media persons that the organisers did not had the permission from Fire and Emergency Services and Goa State Pollution Control board, which is mandatory to host event of such magnitude.

He said that at least 3,000 (three thousand) people had arrived in Goa to attend the event, while the place where it was organised has only four meter long road.
“In case of emergency like fire, even the Fire and Emergency Services vehicles would not have been able to reach to the spot,” he said.

Patkar claimed that the senior police officers including DGP Alok Kumar was unaware about the event.

The Congress leader said that his party will file a formal complaint with the Economic Offences Cell of the Goa police as the organisers had collected money from the people, despite knowing that they don’t have permissions to host it.
