Panaji: A group of Congress MLAs have rushed to Delhi demanding change in Leader of Opposition.

Sources stated that Quepem MLA Altone D’Costa, Cuncolim MLA Yuri Alemao, Aldona MLA Carlose Ferreira and St Cruz MLA Rudolf Fernandes are in the national capital.

Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar is in Goa and not the part of the team.

It is understood that the MLAs have demanded that Michael Lobo be removed from the post of Leader of Opposition, replacing him with Yuri Alemao.

Alemao is lobbying hard for the post with the help of Altone.

While Congress party has already informed the Speaker that Lobo ceases to be LoP, he continues in the chair in absence of the new face.

Lobo donned the chair during recently held Goa Assembly Session.
