Panaji: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today held meeting with the senior officials of personnel department to take stock of the existing vacancies, promotions and retirement issues in various government departments.
The meeting which was held at his private residence went on for over two hours, a senior official said.
The CM went through the entire records of how many vacancies are pending in different departments and also how many are awaiting promotions.
Parrikar was briefed about the entire situation and took stock of the situation. The officers were given instruction to take necessary steps to fill in the vacancies and promote the officers, who are due.
The Chief Minister had recently inspected both the underconstruction bridges on Mandovi and Zuari rivers by personally visiting them.
