Honda – Goa Chief Minister cannot run away from the issue of striking workers of ACGL which is under his nose and must take initiative and settle the pending demands demanded GPCC President Girish Chodankar. Mr Chodankar along with Congress leaders of Sakhalim, Poriem and Valpoi visited at Honda to extend support to the striking workers which has entered third day.
Congress leaders including Sakhalim Municipality Chairperson Mr. Raya Parsekar, Praveen Blaggan, Councillor Rajesh sawal, Poriem Block president Ramesh Pansekar, Valpoi leader Ranjit Rane, Valpoi Block Congress President Harishchandra Mankar, Valpoi Mahila President Roshan Desai, Poriem YC Block president Prashant Solyekar accompanied Chodankar.
Chodankar said, most of the workers are from Chief Minister’s Sakhalim constituency and for him it is matter of five minutes to resolve the settlement demands of workers pending from last 4 years but CM is not interested in resolving the issues due to his closeness with the company. CM should know that the regular recruitment in the company has happening since last several years as a result our youths are deprived of jobs. In next 4-5 years Goan employed in the company will be Zero once present staff retires.
Chodankar also urged upon CEO of the ACGL Mr. O. V. Ajay to keep aside Ego and settle the pending demands of settlement since the company is profit making with increasing production. Every worker has right to be partner in the growth of the company.
Mr. Ranjit Rane, Pravin Blagan and others also spoke on the occasion. Earlier on the day ACGL union today took out peaceful morcha in Valpoi city.
