Panaji: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Tuesday began a series of meetings to address various issues, including the simplification of procedures under the Centre’s flagship scheme — Atal Asra Yojana.
The Chief Minister’s Office said that Sawant chaired a meeting regarding the Atal Asra Scheme in the presence of Social Welfare Minister Subhash Phal Desai and other officials.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed officers to simplify the application process and ensure that approvals are given for the pending applications. He also instructed officials to conduct Atal Asra Yojana camps in every assembly constituency.
In another meeting, the Chief Minister heard issues related to the Dhangar community in the state.
“Sawant chaired a meeting with the Dhangar community regarding various issues related to their houses and forest rights claims,” the CMO said.
The meeting was also attended by Social Welfare Minister Subhash Phal Desai, former Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant Kavlekar, State Advocate General Devidas Pangam, and other officials.
