Panaji: After announcing the action plan for agriculture, animal husbandry, women and self-help groups, the government has now released the blueprint for promoting tourism in the state under its Swamyampurna Goa campaign.
Taking to twitter Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday announced the plan of action for boosting tourism.
A state with its rich and culture heritage, the plan aims to undertake initiatives of heritage walk, village walk and maintenance of Archeological sites.
It also mulls at expanding home stay tourism, B and B in hinterland and private forest areas without creating big resorts and hotel type structures.
Considering that the Swamyampurna Goa is a village level campaign, taluka festivals will be undertaken.
Beautification of caves, lakes and other water bodies has also been listed in the plan of action.
Adventure tourism has always been one of the major attractions of the state. The plan of action includes soft loan for adventure tourism, heritage tourism, salt extraction etc.
Lastly, it will also train people in skills for tourism sector.
