Panaji: As the electricity department declines to restore power supply, city Municipal market goes continue to function in darkness for the fourth day.
Electricity department on Tuesday disconnected power supply of municipal market for non-payment of the dues by CCP, amounting to Rs five crore, since 2003.
Power Minister Nilesh Cabral said that following Chief Minister’s intervention, we have decided to take an undertaking from CCP that the dues would be cleared in installments. He said that the power would be restored only after that.
Minister however, ruled out possibility of waiver on delay payment charges.
