Panaji: Goa police on Friday arrested a software engineer, originally from Chennai and currently operating from Goa, for possessing drugs at Palolem beach.
Police spokesman said that Ashish Sharma, 26, was arrested for possessing 60 grams of Ganja during the search by Canacona police.
The spokesman said that the accused who is working with Chennai-based software firm was in Goa since March 01, 2020 due to the lockdown, and was working online for the company.
Police said that he was booked under Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act.
