Panaji: After being accused of forging an occupancy certificate, CCP Corporator Uday Madkaikar today turned the tables by filing FIR against unknown people for manufacturing fake and fictitious occupancy certificate.
Former CCP Commissioner Melvyn Vaz had earlier filed complaint against Madkaikar and staff of the corporation after which raids were conducted in the building of the civic organization.
Madkaikar has now filed complaint with Panaji police against unknown culprits for manufacturing fake and fictitious occupancy certificate to frame him in criminal proceedings and maligning his image in the eyes of public.
“I have not used the purported occupancy certificate nor am I having any knowledge about it,” he said.
He said that he has applied for development permission before NGPDA on receipt of zoning certificate in the year 2015 which is pending disposal. Hence the purported occupancy certificate based on which the FIR is registered against me will not benefit me in any manner.
The person who has secured the purported certificate should be held responsible for manufacturing and using it, he said.
