Bridge over St Inez creek opened for traffic

Panaji: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today inaugurated the concrete bridge over St Inez creek thus opening it for traffic.

Nineteen meter long bridge is constructed by Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) at an estimated cost of Rs 2.22 crores.

GSIDC vice chairman Siddharat Kuncolienkar said that the bridge is 19 meters in length with 4.5 metrs long approaches on both the sides and 11 meters wide including two meters side footpath on both sides for the pedestrians.

The deck slab is provided with elliptical curve in order to maintain the aesthetics of the area. Patradevi stone cladding is provided to the bridge faced. Also decorative illumination is provided on the bridge.
