Panaji: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is back in Goa after three month long treatment in the USA.
Parrikar arrived at Goa airport by commercial flight from Mumbai around 5.40 p.m. He had arrived in Mumbai in the afternoon.
Huge posse of policemen are posted at the airport and also at his private residence at Dona Paula. Parrikar would be taking rest for a day, sources said. There is a possibility that he would cancel the cabinet meeting scheduled tomorrow.
Parrikar who is suffering from pancreatic ailment had left for the USA on March 7, 2018 and since then have been living there. The chief minister was first diagnosed with pancreatic disease on February 15, 2018 when he was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.
The chief minister later took discharge from the hospital on February 22 and arrived in Goa to present the State Budget. He had to be referred to Goa medical college and hospital near here on February 25 where he was admitted for four days.
Parrikar was later taken to Mumbai on March 5 from where he was flown to the USA.
