Panaji: The history is repeating itself. Months after Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar agreed for Mhadei water sharing, BJP National President Amit Shah has once again raised the issue. All for the gain in Karnataka election.
Addressing election rally in Kalaburgi, Shah said “I assure the people of the state that if BJP is voted to power, it will solve the Mhadei river water dispute between Karnataka and Goa.”
Shah blamed the Siddaramaiah government for the delay in finding a solution and added that it would have been settled if the chief minister had cooperated with the Central government.
There is no formal reaction from Goa government on this issue.
