Panaji: Amidst speculations about former CM Laxmikant Parsekar taking over the reigns as Goa Chief of the party, the Core Committee today met. This is the first meeting after Satish Dhond is back as the State General Secretary of the party.
While all the participants of the meeting including Parsekar, Dayanand Sopte, Subhash Shirodkar, Subhash Faldesai and others remained silent over the discussions in the meeting, sources stated that the changes in organization are imminent.
It is learnt that Parsekar who is upset after Sopte’s entry in the party would be inducted as State Chief, the position, which he has held in the past.
Parsekar’s crowning as Goa Chief will make way for Sopte to contest from Mandrem constituency, hasslefree.
Goa BJP Chief Vinay Tendulkar is also Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament, has earned ire for his style of functioning.
All the participants of the meeting stated that the party has chalked out program to prep up organization in the State.
