Margao: BJP’s National leader Subramaniam Swamy on Sunday said that the party taking in new ministers and exit of traditional supporters has been a temporary situation.

Swamy who was in Goa to participate in the party function was referring to the entry of ten Congress MLAs into BJP and dropping of coalition partners including Goa Forward party from Pramod Sawant led cabinet.

“New people have become ministers and some of the traditional supporters have not got their due. But I think these are temporary situations,” he said addressing reporters in Margao.

“Even Lord Rama had accepted Bibhishana’s support. So we have a tradition that larger goal must be seen. We cannot afford to lose Goa because Goa is intellectually very important state for us,” he said.

The BJP leader said that the party is keen to see that the whole country comes under their rule.

“ We think that if somebody is ready to accept your program and willing to speak for it (then we accept him),” he said.

“Once he joins and behaves the same way he was behaving like some other party then I don’t think BJP would tolerate,” he added.

Sawant had dropped three ministers of Goa Forward Party and an Independent MLA from the cabinet after induction of ten Congress MLAs into the party fold.
