Panaji: Pointing to the rising crime rate in Goa, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that the BJP has turned Goa into a lawless state.
In a post on his X handle, Kejriwal wrote that murders, shootings, and daylight robberies are taking place in Goa, calling it a total collapse of law and order under the BJP government.
He stated that in the past few days, a Goan opposing hill cutting was murdered; citizens were shot at over illegal sand extraction; a youth was beaten inside a police station; and people were killed in Saligao in a pool of blood.
The AAP leader added that the BJP has turned Goa into a lawless state.
The State has recently witnessed a spate of murder cases, custodial assaults, and incidents of violence. Kejriwal also shared various newspaper clippings to substantiate his post.
AAP has announced its foray into Goa’s politics and currently has two MLAs in the Goa Legislative Assembly.
