Bicholim: Several BJP candidates including those from Bicholim taluka filed their candidature for upcoming Zilla Panchayat polls.
In Bicholim, Chief minister Pramod Sawant, along with Mayem MLA Praveen Zantye accompanied the candidates when they went to file their nominations on Tuesday.
Shankar Chodankar (Mayem), Gopal Surlikar (Pale) and Mahesh Sawant (Karapur, Sarvan) filed their nominations.
The chief minister said that all the BJP candidates will win Zilla panchayat elections, giving victory to the party in North and South Goa ZPs.
He said that the rural development is possible through zilla panchayat institutions.
