Panaji: Ruling BJP today accused Congress party of politicizing CM Manohar Parrikar’s health issue and called them as “inhuman”.
Addressing a press conference, BJP general secretary Sadanand Tanawade said that Congress adopted various “inhuman” means to “politicize” CM health issue.
“Last two months, Congress was raising various questions with regards to CM health. They made some NGOs to hold morcha on CM’s residence, made some so called activist to sit on hunger strike and now they are conducting what is called “Akrosh”,” he said.
“But, whenever they gave call to people to be part of their inhuman act, they got no response as people have huge respect for Parrikar. They have seen his work as CM and even as leader of opposition. Everyone knows Parrikar’s contribution to the State,” he added.
Condemning the act of Congress, Tanawade said that CM’s public appearance on Sunday has exposed Congress’ lies.
When asked, BJP leader refused to speak on the issue of leadership change.
