Panaji: The Bharatiya Janata Party and its coalition partners on Tuesday held a meeting to review preparedness ahead of upcoming monsoon assembly session.
Chief minister Pramod Sawant, BJP Goa President Damodar Naik, the ministers and MLAs from the ruling party and its alliance members participated in the meeting.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, Sawant said that all the alliance partners, except Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party, participated in the meeting.
He said that MGP legislature party leader MLA Sudin Dhavalikar had already informed him about his absence for the meeting.
Independent MLAs — Dr Chandrakant Shetye, Anton Vas and Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco — who have given support to Sawant-led government also attended the meeting.
Sawant said that during the meeting, a review was taken on the Bills and Resolutions to be submitted during the session.
The 15-day-long Assembly session is beginning from July 21.
The chief minister said that the members discussed in detail about the issues that would be raised in the Assembly. “It was a general review meeting,” he said.
