Valpoi: Angry over the second death due to Bison attack in Sattari, the villagers of Guleli gathered on the road. Local MLA and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane went to pacify the villagers along with senior forest officers.
Rane has asked the forest department to tranquilise the animal by identifying it as villagers are scared to move out fearing another attack. The women who had gathered told that they have stopped going out.
The minister told a senior forest officer that if third incident happens, then they will not be able to step in Sattari as people are furious.
A senior forest officer assured to post two guards at the spot and identify the animal.
While Rane suggested that the help from Maharashtra or Karnataka forest department should be taken to tranquilise the animal, the forest officer said that state has the required expertise.
