Bicholim: On Sunday early morning, Bicholim police registered a complaint from a person alleging that his minor 17-year-old daughter was kidnapped from lawful guardianship by an unknown person.
Bicholim police promptly registered an FIR under Section 137(2) of BNS and Section 8 of the Goa Children Act, and an investigation was initiated.
Immediately, different teams were formed to search for the minor girl at bus stands and railway stations.
SDPO Jivba Dalvi informed that through technical surveillance, it was confirmed that the kidnapped girl was in Hubli.
Accordingly, a team was formed under the supervision of PI Dinesh Gadekar, headed by PSI Amarnath Palni, PSI Vikesh Hadfadkar, PC Vishal, and LPC Vijaya, who successfully traced the minor girl within six hours from the Hubli bus stand in Karnataka.
The girl was brought back to Goa, and investigations are ongoing.
Further investigation is being carried out by PI Bicholim Shri Dinesh Gadekar and SDPO Bicholim Shri Jivba Dalvi, under the overall supervision of Shri Akshat Khaushal IPS, SP North.
