Bhandari Samaj gets united, drops their differences

Panaji: Goa’s one of the most influential community – Bhandari – today got united under one banner giving away its factionalisms.

The leaders like Shripad Naik, Anil Hoble, Vinod Palyekar, Jayesh Salgaoncar joined their hands, which they claimed was a move towards better future of the Samaj, in Goa and also nationally.

“Working for community translates into the development of the country. It might be for any community,” Naik said addressing a press conference. He said that all the Bhandari community members have decided to come together and work for the society.

He thanked all those who struggled to get the faction ridden Bhandari community together.

Anil Hoble said that this is one of the milestone in the history of Bhandari community as all the leaders have given up their differences and joined hands. “We have taken oath to be together and work the community. There are five lakh Bhandari community members in Goa,” he said.

Hoble said that there are several pending demands of Bhandari community which needs to be taken before the State government. He pinned hope on two ministers Jayesh Salgaoncar and Vinod Palyekar to take the works forward.

Speaking on the occasion, Jayesh Salgaoncar said that the youth from the community should be come forward to take leadership. He insisted that the community leaders should sponsor the education of youth so that they be a good leaders in future.
