Panaji: Claiming that the tourism road shows fetched no results but were turned into picnic for tourism minister and his family, Goa Forward Party on Saturday demanded ban on such shows.
GFP President Vijai Sardesai, addressing a press conference, said that the tourism has slowed down and State government is completely responsible for it.
“We have seen three people dying on the eve of New Year for the EDM. Michael Lobo says that Narcotics Control Bureau is not functioning. There is proliferation of drugs and justification for it is given that EDM had turn over of Rs 250 crore,” he said.
“For scum of earth we are giving red carpet and doing tourism. We feel that government is solely responsible for fall in tourism,” he said.
“Our clear cut demand that there should be ban on road shows. They are nothing but picnic for tourism minister and his families,” he said.
