Dharbandora: Goa Vibhag Bajarang Dal on Tuesday issued warning against holding procession of Jhulus on September 5 at Collem, Dharbandora on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad.
Goa Vibhag Bajarang Dal Convenor Viraj Desai has said “We are aware that certain Muslim groups are planning to organize Eid-e-Milad Jhulus processions in Collem Dharbandora on 5th September this year.”
“Major demographic change in this area led to influence such kind of show of strength by some radical Islamic groups, similar to last year’s events in Canacona. We strongly oppose such processions and will ensure that they do not take place,” he said.
Desai said “Regardless of discussions or consultations, Bajarang Dal will not allow these Jhulus processions to happen.”
“We will not be responsible for any law and order situations that may arise. We are committed to maintaining peace and order in the region in the interest of Hindus and will take necessary steps to achieve this goal,” he added.
