Panaji: Goa State SC/ST Commission chairman Ramesh Tawadkar said he does not accept the decision given by Judicial Magistrate of First Class(JMFC) court and that he will appeal against this decision.
Addressing a press conference at Youth Hostel Miramar Tawadkar refused the allegations against him and said, “I haven’t even touched the person who has accused me in this crime, moreover, this case is politically motivated conspiracy to ruin my image.”
“As a punishment I have been asked to to pay a compensation of ten thousand rupees and also have been asked to sit in court till court proceedings end. From this we come to know the gravity of the case,” Tawadkar said.
Speaking about the future course of action Tawadkar opined that he will appeal against the JMFC order in higher court. Tawadkar, who was acquitted in three of the four cases against him, earlier this month.
