Panaji: AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday arrived in Goa to campaign for his party’s candidate for upcoming Ponda by-poll.
Kejriwal was welcomed at Goa Airport in South Goa by the party volunteers, after which he went to Panaji.
Party sources claimed that Kejriwal will be meeting renowned seer Swami Brahmeshanand at his mutt in Kundaim near Ponda on Tuesday. He will also visit St Annes Church in Ponda town on the same day.
The former Delhi chief minister is scheduled to address a public meeting on Wednesday in Ponda.
The party has fielded businessman Geetesh Naik as its candidate in Ponda by-poll.
The elections for Ponda are scheduled on April 9. While BJP has fielded Ritesh Naik, son of former Agriculture minister Ravi Naik, Congress has fielded physiotherapist Dr Ketan Bhatikar.
The by-poll was necessitated after the demise of sitting Agriculture minister Ravi Naik.
