Panjim:- Goa Pradesh Congress Committee along with Both the District Committees, all frontal organizations including Youth Congress, Mahila Congress, Seva Dal, NSUI and 38 block committees, Party MLAs, ZP members paid homage to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 30th Death Anniversary by Organizing Various functions and helped people in pandemic time by distributed relief materials that includes around 90,000 masks, 10,000 hand sanitizers, 1000 Oximeters, over 10,000 water bottles, over 1,000 food & fruit packets etc Distributed all over Goa said GPCC VP Organization Shri M. K. Sheikh
There could not be more befitting homage to the leader who sacrificed his life for this great nation said Mr. Sheikh.
Sheikh further said, of the 40 Blocks 38 blocks distributed Face Masks, Sanitizers, Fruits, Food packets etc.
He informed that Curchorem Block distribute 20 Oxygen Concentrators along with others things to the needy people. Youth Congress, distributed Around 10,000 Water Bottles to the patients & relatives at different government hospitals. Earlier One van for patients and another Van were pressed in service to supply Oxygen to the patients. Oxygen was supplied to the needy patients by YC since the last one month.
Similarly he said, in presence of PCC President and CLP leader NSUI Launched COVID Vaccination Vehicle at Panjim to assist senior citizens to get Vaccine. Earlier they had launched Vaccination Registration helpline.
On the other hand, Mahila Congress, Distributed food packets, Face masks and Sanitizers in both Districts. While Seva Dal also distributed face masks at various parts of Goa.
Sheikh said, online consultation to Patients is continued and made available to needy patients through P.C.C. Covid 19 Control Room led by GPCC VP Dr. Pramod Salgaoncar. They also arranged beds in hospitals wherever needed.
He said party leaders Girish Chodankar, CLP leader Digambar kamat, Ex CM Luizinho Faleiro, Adv. Ramakant Khalap, GPCC Vice President (Org) M. K. Sheikh, GPCC General Secretaries Subhash Faldesai, Janardhan Bhandari, District Presidents Joe Dias and Vijai Bhike, frontal chiefs Varad Mardolkar, Mrs. Beena Naik, Shankar Kirlapalkar, Naushad Chaudhary, Ahraz Mulla, Prasanjit Dhage & others Co-ordinated the various programs.
