Archbishop Urges Compassion, Mutual Respect on Eid-ul-Fitr

Panaji: Archbishop of Goa and Daman Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao on Saturday extended warm greetings to the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, emphasising the values of compassion, unity and mutual respect.

In his message, the Archbishop, along with Auxiliary Bishop Simiao Fernandes, conveyed heartfelt wishes to Muslim brothers and sisters as they celebrate the festival by praying for forgiveness, mercy, peace and blessings for all.

He said the occasion serves as a reminder to strengthen bonds of friendship and foster harmony among communities.

As we celebrate the values of compassion, generosity and unity, let us continue to walk together in friendship and mutual respect, building bridges of understanding for the common good: Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao

Ferrao also prayed for lasting peace and stability in Gulf countries, expressing hope that the spirit of Eid would guide people towards greater unity and harmony across the world.

He concluded his message by extending Eid Mubarak greetings to all.
