Panaji: State Directorate of Education has suspended Ramakrishna Jalmi from his job as Laboratory Assistant of Vocational Section at Swami Vivekanand Vidya Prasarak Mandal’s Higher Secondary School, Borim.
Director of Education Vandana Rao has directed management of the school to suspend Jalmi under section 11(3) of Goa School Education Act, 1984 and initiate appropriate disciplinary action against him.
Jalmi was arrested by Crime Branch for his utterances during anti-CAA rally held on Saturday at Benaulim.
He was arrested by Goa Police under section 295 (A) and 153 (A) of Indian Penal Code.
Rao has said that the institution where he is working is an aided institution, and Goa School Education Act 1984 and Rules 1986 are applicable for every employee of a recognized school, and the Code of Conduct is applicable and they are liable for disciplinary action for the break of any provision of Code of Conduct.
