Anjuna high profile party, police yet to arrest accused, bigwigs involved?

Anjuna: While videos of a  major fight between two groups at a party at Anjuna went viral on social media, police were yet to make formal arrests, despite formal complaint lodged by a 19-year-old boy.

Dhananjay Agarwal in his complaint before Anjuna police have named two accused Dylon and Valentino for assaulting him at the party venue and later chasing his vehicle, to be assaulted again.

The party was organised to give send off to a Russian girl at Anjuna on Saturday. Incidently, despite the complaint being lodged few hours after the incident, the girl was let go without even recording her statement.

 

The videos of gang of youngsters hitting each others have gone viral on social media. Till filing of this report, Police were yet to make any arrest though First Information Report (FIR) stands reported at Anjuna police station against the accused.

The complainant has accused two boys of threatening him to kill, assaulting him and snatching away his mobile phone.

Incidently, the complainant is a son of a high ranking official working at a Casino.

If one goes by the report published on The Goan newspaper, the party also had banned substances being consumed.

What is striking is that neither arrests nor medical tests were conducted on the boys who participated in the party. Also, the organizer of the party in the state when COVID-19 pandemic situation is going is also not questioned.

A well known event management company had organised the party at Anjuna.

It is understood that the police were initially reluctant to file, even suo motto, case but had to lodge FIR after father of the complainant used his influence.

The questions are now asked how Police allowed the party to happen, why no offence has been registered under NDPS act against the party organizer, including the girl, who was being given send off. Why was the girl allowed to fly?
