Panaji: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will be in Goa this month during which they will guide the BJP workers, a senior party functionary said on Sunday.
BJP’s State General Secretary Sadanand Tanavade told reporters that both the leaders – Shah and Gadkari – would be in Goa on their official trips this month during which they will also spare time to interact with the cadres.
The interactions are part of ongoing nationwide membership drive undertaken by the party. Goa has set a membership target of four lakh members of which already 1.8 lakh have been achieved.
Tanavade said that the membership drive is going on in all the 40 assembly constituencies, in addition to the online enrollment launched for the first time by the party.
He said that the tech savvy college going youths are increasingly registering themselves through online, after which they are issued the card with their picture on it.
