Amit Shah endorses one language for nation; Goa Minister says “Different languages, religions is what makes our nation exceptional and great”

Panaji: At the backdrop of Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasizing the need to have “one language one nation” policy, Goa Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude said that different languages, religion, caste, costumes is what makes our nation exceptional and great.

“Every region has its matchless identity. Each region maintain its  tradition and culture which make our nation unique  and famous for its principle “Unity in Diversity”,” Minister said.

Gaude is part of BJP led coalition government.

Speaking on National Hindi Day in New Delhi on September 14, Shah emphasised the need for Hindi to be made the common language of the country. It was necessary, Shah said, to have one language which could represent India in the world. The same, was however, condemned across.

 Gaude further said that  Rural artistes plays a major role in conserving  traditional art forms and its credibility.

The Minister was speaking at concluding function of Ganeshotsav Mandal  Priol, Ponda  at a function organized  by Art and Culture  Department in association with west zone cultural centre Udaipur.

 Ganehotsav Yatra 2019 was organized from September 7th to 13, 2019 where in teams of artistes from Goa, Gujarat, Manipur Rajasthan, Assam, Jharkhand participated.
