Panaji: Amazon India on Friday announced an increase in its select of large appliances, ahead of the festive season, to add up to its month on month growth in this segment.
“My value and volume, the large appliances segment is fastest growing for Amazon. Considering the upcoming festive season, Amazon has added over one thousand appliances by top brands in Air Conditioners, Refrigerators, Washing Machine and more,” Suchit Subhas, Director, Large Appliances and Furniture, Amazon India, told a press conference in Panaji.
He said that the state of Goa has witnessed 65 per cent year on year growth in large appliances units sales, which is fuelled by customers from all kind of economic profiles.
He said that almost twenty five percent of the sale in large appliances happens during the festive season, with the customers opting for various programmes including no-coast EMI and exchange of the old products.
Subhas said that with the addition of one thousand large appliances, there will be more than 2,500 products in that segment available on Amazon providing wider range of choice to the customers.
He said that in line with the season, Amazon India has seen a 50 per cent month on month increase in search for washing machines on Amazon.in.
Subhash said that the people from all kind of economic background are shopping on Amazon as there is wide range of pricing of the products.
