Panaji: Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao on Monday raised the issue of around 200 Ex-students of Agriculture College, who have completed their course in agriculture but are not in a position to apply for vacancies and posts advertised by the State Department of Agriculture as the college is not considered as an accredited institution.
“There was a takeover of the College of Agriculture by the Government of Goa when the process of accreditation was in progress. The government protected the interests of the teaching and non-teaching staff but failed to take any measures to provide recognition to the academic programme completed by the students,” Alemao said.
Yuri Alemao has urged the Government to examine the matter and provide the necessary relief to the 200 former students of the College of Agriculture by providing the required relaxation to the posts advertised by the Government of Goa.
