Margao: Agriculture department has began promoting the local germ plasm of popular Goan fruit trees.
Minister Vijai Sardesai today distributed the seedlings and grafts to the locals to propogate local germ plasm of popular Goan fruit trees in Margao.
Sardesai tweeted: “Agri dept has from today begun a drive of distribution of seedlings and grafts to Goemkars to propagate local germ plasm of popular Goan fruit trees. Govt would tie up on pilot basis with Margao communidade to make green the hills belonging to latter before someone grabs them!”
