Panaji: The State government constituted Committee on private forest report has issued notice inviting suggestions and objections from the public whose properties were identified as private forest, on or before October 15.

Joint Secretary Revenue Anthony D’Souza has issued a public notice, wherein it has said that all the affected parties whose properties were identified as Private Forests are hereby given notice that, they can submit their objections to the Committee on or before 15-10-2019 and objections received thereafter will not be considered.

The objections should be filed along with documentary evidence in support of the claim.

Government, last month, constituted a committee headed by Joint Secretary Revenue, with Director of Settlements and Land Records and Deputy Conservator of Forest, South Division, as its members to finalize the report on private forests submitted by the Review Committee, after considering the objections of affected parties whose properties are going to be identified as private forests.

The report has to be submitted in November.
