Panaji: As the RTI Activist Rajan Ghate’s hunger strike enters fourth day, the social activists along with political opponents have decided to march to Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s personal residence at Dona Paula demanding his resignation on Tuesday afternoon.
Congress, Goa Suraksha Manch, Shiv Sena along with several social activists like Adv Aires Rodrigues have visited Ghate at Azad Maidan, where he is currently sitting on a hunger strike. The activist is demanding that Parrikar should step down to ensure smooth functioning of State Administration.
On Monday Congress president Girish Chodankar visited the activist.
“The State administration has collapsed completely. For last nine months, there is no administration. Finally the Ministers and allies have started to speak,” Rodrigues said.
He said that all the activists along with political opponents will be marching to CM residence at Dona Paula demanding his resignation.
Parrikar, who is undergoing treatment at the residence, is suffering from pancreatic cancer. He had fallen ill in mid February.
