Panaji: The main accused in abuse of eight minor girls, Venus Habib, expired while undergoing treatment at GMC.
She was arrested in Vasco in April, this year, after a NGO accused her of abusing and torturing eight minor girls between the age of 11 and 12 at illegally ran orphanage.
“Habib expired while taking treatment in the GMC,” a senior police official confirmed. “She was out on bail and not in police custody,” he added.
