Panaji: On his three-day-long visit to Goa, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that his party will form the next government in Goa “on its own” after the 2027 assembly elections.

Ruling out the alliance with Congress, Kejriwal said that the people have lost faith in BJP and also Congress party which has been supplying MLAs to the former to form the government in the state.

AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal arrived in Goa on Friday on his three-day-long tour to the coastal city where he will be addressing series of meetings with the volunteers.

Addressing media persons outside Dabolim Airport, Kejriwal said that during last 13 years, BJP is ruling in the state. “Congress has been supporting the BJP to form the government by providing the MLAs. People have lost faith in both the parties,” he said.

Referring to the recent attack on social activist Rama Kankonkar, Kejriwal said that it is not an isolated incident.

“Those who speak against the government are suppressed. The law and order situation has plummeted, there are illegal constructions everywhere, there is illegal mining, women are not finding themselves safe,” he said.

People of Goa want women safety and also basic facilities. “It is their basic right,” he said.

The former Delhi chief minister said that people of Goa have lost faith in both the parties and AAP will form the government in 2027 on its own.

Kejriwal arrived at Dabolim Airport at around 9 pm, who was received by Delhi’s Leader of Opposition Atishi Marlena, Party’s Goa President Amit Palekar amongst others.

Several volunteers had lined up outside the Airport to receive their leader.
