Panaji: Aam Admi Party in Goa on Tuesday volunteered to adopt the government run primary schools, which are likely to be closed down or merged with another one, as a part of state’s policy.
AAP Goa President Amit Palekar told reporters that the state government wants to merge or stop the primary schools which has single teacher or less number of students.
Palekar, who met Director of Education Shailesh Zingade told reporters that the AAP can adopt these schools and create difference, the way the party led government has done in Delhi schools.
“Don’t look at us as a political party. We are willing to come forward and help to ensure that there is no drop out of the students due to this decision,” he said.
Palekar said that many of the students wont be able to travel to far off places to attend the schools. “They will rather stop attending schools,” he said.
AAP has opened the account in Goa with the 2 Seats. Next election these 2 Seats will become 22 Seats and form the Government and make Goa, a Corruption Free State.
