Panaji: AAP in Goa on Wednesday demanded a judicial probe into the cash-for-jobs scam in the coastal state while claiming that the inquiry by the Enforcement Directorate will not make any difference.

AAP Goa President Amit Palekar told reporters in Panaji that media reports had claimed the Enforcement Directorate had initiated an inquiry into the cash-for-jobs scam.

“I feel that the inquiry by the ED will yield no results as it is yet another agency of the BJP,” Palekar said.

He said that his party had demanded a judicial inquiry into the entire scam, as there is involvement of some BJP functionaries in it.

Several complaints were filed across the state, with many government job aspirants claiming that they were forced to pay lakhs of rupees for the job by the accused. Police have arrested more than eleven accused in connection with the cash-for-jobs scam.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had said that the unbiased investigation is going on into the entire scam, with the police cracking down on various accused, who were luring gullible youth to pay for getting government jobs.
