99.40 per cent students passed in HSSC examination of Goa Board

Panaji: Total 99.40 per cent students passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examination conducted by Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

Board Chairman Bhagirath Shetye announced the results on Monday which had 99.40 per cent students passing the examination which included 99.74 per cent girls and 99.05 per cent boys.

The result was announced based on the marks secured by the students in Class tenth, Eleventh and Unit test, Mid-term, Preliminary examination and periodical test in the 12th standard.

The final examination of HSSC was cancelled by Goa Board due to pandemic situation in the state.

Shetye said that 99.39 per cent students passed in Arts, 99.66 per cent in Commerce, 99.68 per cent in Science and 98.51 per cent in Vocational streams.

Interestingly, all the higher secondary schools in state’s ruralmost Sanguem, Canacona and Sattari taluka has secured 100 per cent results.
