Pernem: Mopa Airport Police Station have registered a FIR u/s 303 r/w 3 (5) of BNS and sec. 3, 38 r/w 62 of the Goa Daman & Diu Minor Mineral Concession Rule 1985 in connection with sand mining and theft.
As per complaint that on 17/07/2024 at 06.27 Hrs at Tarir, Ozarim Pernem Goa, accused persons committed theft of sand from the river Bank of Chapora without taking any valid permission from concerned authorities.
Upon registration of the complaint the Mopa Police have identified and arrested accused persons namely
- Mr. Jeevut S/o Bhajirama Rajbhar, age 60 years, N/o Baliyabandi, Dist. Baliya U.P.,
- Mr. Dinesh Rajbhar, age 36 years, N/o Satwaz, Dist Baliya, U.P.,
- Mr. Arjun Kumar Rajbhar, age 24 years, N/o Satwaz, Dist Baliya, U.P.,
- Mr. Ashok Rajbhar, age 45 years, N/o Chohar, Dist Baliya, U.P.,
- Mr. Shahangur Rajbhar, age 35 years, N/o Jugarisar, Dist. Baliya, U.P.,
- Mr. Fulchand Rajbhar, age 45 years, N/o Balwar, Dist. Baliya, U.P.,The extracted sand approximately 2 meters worth Rs. 3,000/- was found on the river bank and the canoe worth Rs. 2.5 lakhs alongwith 6 accused persons were also detained.
Owner of canoe Sanjay Parab
Is also made accused in this case.
Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of SP north Akshat Kaushal IPS,
SDPO Pernem Jivba Dalvi and PI Mopa Narayan Chimulkar.
