Panaji: Goa police on Wednesday arrested a 39-year-old man for killing 55-year-old person during hunting expedition last night in Sakhalim village of North Goa.
A senior police officer said that Anand Gawade (39) was placed under arrested after he fired at Santosh Govekar (55) using single barrel gun during hunting in the forests of Sankhalim.
The injured was immediately shifted to nearby Primary Health Centre where he was declared brought in dead.
The incident happened last night during the hunting expedition planned by the both of them. “Both the deceased and accused had planned for the hunting expedition,” police said.
Bicholim police have booked the case under section 302 (murder) against the accused.
